Paint Effects - Antiquing
Originally plain wood, these wardrobes have been made to look aged by antiquing them with several layers of different coloured glazes

Antiquing is a furniture based effect and involves ageing things to mimic a surface having a naturally worn appearance. It is often known as 'tea staining' and can be used to fantastic effect whether making a new piece of furniture appear old, or making an older piece of furniture once again look attractive and stylish.
At Imaginative Interiors we pride ourselves on high quality workmanship and feel that our antiquing effect is no exception. We know how different surfaces become corrupted over time and how these effects can be achieved using modern materials. What is more, we only use the best paints and varnishes to ensure the finishes remain durable and therefore practical.
Antiquing can be done in a single colour or a subtle combination of several colours so as to perfectly harmonise with all the aspects of your room.
Antiquing is a brilliant effect that can transform any piece of furniture when used as a finish in its own right or when combined with others such as marbling or distressing.
